A note about AI:
I value your privacy, and I do not utilize in-session AI note-taking. I take notes the old-fashioned way - by hand, and enter only notes required by insurance into the electronic medical records (EMR). If you have any concerns about confidentiality, please contact me.

My clients are people who have been through something life-transforming - a death, a change in family structure, a health incident, or something equally traumatic. If you're navigating the death of a loved one, a major life transition, or the emotional exhaustion of supporting someone with a serious illness, please don't do it alone. I offer a compassionate space to help you process what you’ve been through and find a path forward. For clients who prefer it, I am also comfortable integrating faith or spirituality into the therapeutic process. Healing is deeply personal, and I honor the unique values and beliefs each person brings.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in FL and MS with a master's degree in social work from Florida State University. I also have a master's degree in teaching from St. Leo University. I have experience as a bereavement specialist for Hospice, where I supported clients through some of life’s most painful and complex losses, including those from suicide, overdose, homicide, and long-term illness.

I use a trauma-informed approach grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychoeducation, helping clients process the changes they've experienced. I lean towards solution-focused therapy, where we will throw around ideas from a non-judgmental point of view. We'll talk through what happened and your reactions, and find ways to help you gain control. Whether you're grieving a loved one, navigating a change in situation, or just trying to gain control over your thoughts that seem out of hand, I can help you find your way forward.

I'm the proud daughter and wife of military veterans. My husband served 25 years in the U.S. Army, and I have a long history of supporting veteran causes. I also have personal experience navigating the system as a VA Caregiver.

Our veterans and their family members deserve our respect and honor for their service. And they need us most when their mental health is involved, and this is often when they're at their worst. Veterans are 50% more likely to die by suicide, and they and their families are at higher risk for many types of treatable mental disorders. Please contact me and let me be of assistance if you are caring for a veteran or have a special veteran in your life who needs help.

Books, Websites, Organizations
I am a licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy in both Mississippi and Florida. I am available through telehealth and in-person visits in Florida, and telehealth only in Mississippi.
On a personal level, I am a mom to four wonderful kids, three of whom are adults, and two of whom are adopted. I am also a member of the "sandwich generation" and have been a caregiver to my parents, whose challenges have included Parkinson's, dementia, strokes, and cancer. I am committed to helping clients navigate the roles that life often hands them without warning.
I also specialize in grief counseling that involves complications such as a death from suicide, drug overdose, or homicide.

What challenges has the world thrown at you? And how can I help you bring those rockets back down to Earth and get your life in order?
